Need for Energy

​

Ever increasing energy prices, insufficient electricity supplies, low electrification rates, and the dependency on Diesel power generation pose significant risks, to the economic development of a society.growth.

Most countries are generously endowed with natural resources required for (renewable) energy supplies, especially with regard to the resources from the sun. This renewable energy resources constitute a comparative national advantage that countries can use for their long-term socio-economic benefits. Despite the abundance of these natural resources, their productive use is still largely limited. 

 

There is no compelling reason why the use of renewable energies and energy efficient technologies cannot be dramatically accelerated to contribute to countries’ development.The challenges and constraints faced by many countries in the electricity production are apparent.

 

The days of low-priced electricity are fading out. Many countries’ current generation capacities are no longer able to meet the rising demand for electrical energy. Economies are negatively affected by electricity shortages. 

Many countries are now recognising the need to diversify their energy production via solar energy and are creating mechanism and instruments to promote the fast establishment of this form of energy, as well as to spur investment in this sector.

Ayuni Systems is working with governments,, proivate sector companies and investors to develop large scale solar power projects in several African countries. Most of these projects are backed by Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) to secure long term off taking of the power produced from these projects.

Our project development team is responsible for obtaining all licences from the relevant authorities, municipalities and districts, and takes care of all necessary environmental audits and impact studies. In addition, we manage all formalities with national grid operators and electricity suppliers to secure feed-in agreements and/ or PPAs and the use of supply lines.

Further we begin to analyze the potential  sites and manage the planning processes to the acquisition of all PLAs. We actively seek for eligible solar sites, taking them through the Planning processes. With our strong local and international networks, we are very effective in creating solar projects from scratch, turning bad or good sites into successfully permitted solar sites, creating conducive process for solar projects in countries where the sector is largely unregulated.
